The Young Initiators Project, run by the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY), helps empower young people to make a difference in their communities.
It uses experiential activities, group discussions and self-reflection to explore leadership, diversity, values, empathy and different ideas about community.
If you’re aged 12-25, can attend the two-day workshop and are willing to try something new, you should sign up to attend a workshop. You don’t need any previous experience to come to a workshop, connect with others and be empowered.
We also offer free transportation support, so please let us know if you need help getting to a workshop.
All participants in the Young Initiators Project will be able to connect through a social media campaign, and will be invited to a state-wide unconference in April 2020.
Participants in certain locations will be able to apply for a paid volunteer role in a Young Initiators Youth-Led Project.
Why do it?
Don’t take our word for it, read a blog post from one of our participants here.
