Amidst the April school holidays, 18 energetic and enthusiastic young people assembled at Dunvegan Cottage in Melton to begin their Young Initiators journey. Within the initial moments of the group getting together a sense of excitement and familiarity entered the space, where participants came out of their shell and embraced the challenge of delving into their values, daily actions, issues they desire to overcome and visions for positive change.
Young Initiators kicked off by acknowledging country and setting our group guidelines. The circle of young people came to represent our shared values of respect, open-mindedness, participation and listening throughout the intensive.
The last day of the intensive encouraged high energy, curiosity and enthusiasm from the Young Initiators crew! With the intensive still feeling fresh the crew continued to build friendships with one another. The eagerness to take part in the session made for really meaningful contribution and conversations surrounding the topic of positive change.
